WWE expected to release three wrestlers from contracts

Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell and Tegan Nox are expected to depart WWE after several years with the company, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.

Corbin was made aware that his contract would expire and that he would not be re-signed by the company.

Corbin spent 12 years with the company and portrayed several versions of his character including a king and a gambler.

He’s a former WWE United States Champion, King of the Ring (2019) and Men’s Money in the Bank winner (2017).

Hartwell has been an active member of the roster and was on the latest episode of Friday Night Smackdown the same day she was released from the company. Though she seemed incredulous about the news at first, she posted gracious remarks on X, formerly Twitter, writing, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.’

The Australian won the NXT Women’s Championship before moving up to WWE’s main roster in 2023. She also won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship with Candice LeRae in 2021.

Nox was also released from the company on Friday. She had competed for several wrestling promotions before arriving in WWE in 2017.

She missed significant time early in her WWE career after suffering several injuries, including ACL and MCL tears, in a match against Rhea Ripley in 2018.
